When is the El Gordo draw?
The El Gordo Christmas lottery draws are once a year on December 22. The ceremony starts at approx. 9:00 CET and takes place in Madrid.
When are El Gordo numbers published?
The El Gordo draw usually lasts several hours and is broadcast live. The winning numbers are normally published by early afternoon. The El Gordo prizes are based on the ticket type that was played and on the prize category that was reached and are calculated according to an official prize table.
When do I win at El Gordo?
There are a total of 17 different El Gordo winning classes for which either certain winning numbers are drawn or neighboring numbers, initial or final digits of other classes apply. One correct final digit is enough to win a first prize.
